Science Olympiad

are you a 4th or 5th grader? Do you like science? Do you like to research? Do you like to do experiments?

Then...try out for our science olympiad team!

What exactly do you do during Science Olympiad?

During Science Olympiad, students do hands-on science by researching, building, calculating, and studying for different science topics and compete against other schools in the county. In November, our school will be sending out application forms for any students interested in joining our Science Olympiad team. We will hold try-outs for any fourth or fifth grader interested in joining the team.

What do you do once you are on the team?

Students on the team will have practice after school 2-3 times a week. Students are expected to attend ALL practices to ensure they are ready for the competition.

Every spring, our school's Science Olympiad team competes with other schools in this district and schools from other districts at Occidental College.
